Park Maintenance Background
From 2022 to 2024, WTCMUD-1 board leadership deprioritized park maintenance, and serious safety issues at Anderson Mill West Park began to emerge.
The safety surfacing (known as Pour-in-Place fall protection) was torn, concrete and metal were exposed, and our equipment safety rating dropped to 1’s and 2’s for the first time, indicating the most dangerous state of disrepair to play on.
Once a new board was installed in Nov. 2024, parks committee members Beth Jones and Hanoi Avila immediately made repairing the parks a top priority for WTCMUD-1 families.
The most recent safety review has restored park equipment to the desired 4’s and 5’s level.
